Our Approach
Our approach at The Red Kite Kids Club is centred on creating a safe, nurturing, and enriching environment where children can have fun, relax and build social confidence. Here's how we ensure this:
Safety First: The safety and well-being of every child is paramount. We maintain a secure environment, adhere to strict safety protocols, and provide constant supervision to ensure the children's safety at all times.
Holistic Development: We believe in fostering the holistic development of each child. Our activities are designed to promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development through a variety of adult and child led engaging activities and experiences.
Play-Based Learning: We value the importance of play in children's learning and development. Our activities are designed to be fun, interactive, and educational, allowing children to learn through play and exploration.
Positive Reinforcement: We focus on positive reinforcement and encouragement to build children's self-esteem, confidence, and resilience. We celebrate their achievements, big or small, and provide a supportive environment for them to grow and thrive.
Collaboration and Communication: We believe in open and transparent communication with parents and guardians. We encourage collaboration and partnership between our staff and families to ensure the best possible outcomes for the children.
At The Red Kite Kids Club, we offer a range of activities tailored to the interests of our children.
After-School Care: We provide after-school care services, offering a safe and supportive environment for children after the school day ends. During this time, your child can enjoy socialising with friends, exploring a variety of child-led activities, or opt to participate in the adult-led session.
Enrichment Activities: We offer a variety of enrichment activities led by an adult, which have been designed to engage children in fun and educational experiences, such as arts and crafts, sports, games, and more.
Homework Assistance: If your child is willing and time permits during the session, we may be able to provide homework assistance by listening to them read. Please be aware that while we strive to offer this support, it may not be available due to the club being busy and staff needed for supervision or to attend to other club related tasks.
Tea Time: We provide light, cold tea to keep children energised during their time with us. Children will not need to bring in their own snacks. Please note this is a snack and is not a replacement for an evening meal.
Supervised Play: Children have the opportunity to engage in supervised play both indoors and outdoors, promoting physical activity, social interaction, and creativity.
Experienced Staff: Our team consists of experienced and caring staff members, who are dedicated to providing a safe and enjoyable experience for every child.
Flexible Scheduling: We offer contract and ad hoc booking options to accommodate the needs of busy families. Contract Bookings are bookings made before the start of the half term.

At Red Kite Kids Club, ensuring the safety, security, and individual well-being of the children under our care is of utmost importance. We are committed to providing a safe, happy and caring environment.
At Red Kite Kids Club, safeguarding children is our top priority, and it underpins everything we do. To ensure the safety and well-being of all children in our care, we have our Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), Mrs. Victoria Bradley, who is responsible for overseeing children’s safety and well-being. In Mrs Bradley’s absence, Mrs Jacqui Hopkins serves as the club’s deputy DSL.
We encourage anyone with concerns about a child, no matter how small they may seem, to approach our DSL, our Deputy DSL or any of the club’s staff members. All staff are fully trained in safeguarding and child protection, and are available and approachable should you need to speak with someone. Your concerns will be handled with sensitivity, confidentiality, and urgency to ensure the safety and well-being of all children under our care.
All our policies and procedures are regularly updated to comply with government legislation, and our sites undergo continual risk assessments.
